Make your own foundation powder

Create your second skin

I love natural make-up, that feels just like a second skin. And what could be better than something you’ve made yourself? It’s not that hard to do either. You can make foundation powder from just a few ingredients, for example.

You will need:

  • plastic bowl
  • cup arrowroot powder
  • tsp ground cinnamon
  • tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp bentonite clay
  • 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • glass jar with lid

Add the arrowroot powder, cinnamon, ginger and bentonite clay to a plastic bowl. Mix the ingredients together well. Then add the cocoa powder slowly, until you have the right colour. Test the colour by applying a small amount of powder to your face with a make-up brush. If you’re happy with the colour, keep the powder in a glass jar and seal it well. If you’re not happy yet, you can add a little more cocoa powder.

Delicious Make Up

Of course I love cocoa as part of a recipe or in the chocolate I enjoy with my cup of tea. But it’s great that you can produce make-up with this magic ingredient too.
