Chili peppers make food a bit spicier. If you have time to taste the fruits before they burn, you will also notice that they do not taste the same.

There are notes of both sour and spicy flavours. Originally, it was Christopher Columbus who brought chilli to Europe under the name “Indian Pepper” as an exclusive item in the early 16th century.

Today, chilli is often used in cooking. Two-thirds of the world’s population eats it daily and it is even the world’s most widely used spice.
