The Nepalese paper is made from the bark of the Lokta plant, which grows in the Himalayas. The branches regrow, so no plants need to be cut. Making Lokta paper is a very old tradition; it is handmade and sun-dried. The controlled harvesting of the Lokta ensures a sustainable and environmentally friendly paper production process.
