Craving something sweet but don’t have many ingredients at home? These delicious mini apple pies are the perfect recipe for those moments! With just three ingredients, you can quickly make the tastiest homemade mini apple pies. They’re not only easy to make but also incredibly delicious. Ideal for a last-minute treat or when you’re just in the mood for a sweet snack.
Ingredients for the mini apple pies:
- 1 jar of apple compote
- 1 pack of puff pastry
- 1 egg
How to make the mini apple pies:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
- While the oven is heating, cut out small circles from the puff pastry. You can simply use a glass for this. Make as many circles as you want – eight is a good number for a smaller baking tray. Place the circles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Use a dessert spoon to scoop small amounts of apple compote and spread it over the puff pastry circles.
- Cut thin strips from the remaining puff pastry and lay them over the compote.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush the edges of the mini apple pies with the egg for a nice golden color.
- Bake the mini apple pies for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown and crispy. Enjoy the wonderful smell!
- Take them out of the oven and let them cool slightly before removing them from the baking sheet.
And that’s it! Easy and delicious. For the finishing touch, I sprinkled a little sugar over them. Besides apple compote, you can also use other ingredients like cherries or berries.
