How to Make a Paper Pinwheel
Do you remember them from the past, the pinwheels you folded from paper and that spun so nicely when you blew against them? I still love them, so I made a few with Anne the other day. It’s actually not difficult at all, and they look so cheerful. That’s why I’d like to show you how to make a paper pinwheel.
Here’s what you need:
- Square paper
- Thumbtack or small nail
- Glue
- Scissors
- Wooden stick or twig
- Button or bead
How to make a paper pinwheel:
- Fold the paper diagonally in half and cut from the corners towards the center. Then fold four corner points towards the center.
- Insert a thumbtack through the center and pin it to the back on a stick or twig.
- Glue a pretty button or bead onto the thumbtack.
I’ve drawn it out for you below to make it easier.
Tip: Fill a small flower pot with sand and stick a few pinwheels in it. It looks lovely on the windowsill.
