I would like to introduce my creative friend: Pascale Kuentz.
Pascale is a Nihonga artist. Nihonga is a thousand-year-old painting technique that originated in 7th century China. This art follows the Silk Road and reached its peak in Japan. Returning to my first loves—colorful, shimmering, structured pigments—Nihonga allows me to once again tell my story with materials and brushes. In her paintings, she attempts to capture the essence of the fleeting beauty of nature and convey a sense of peace and spiritual connection. I love to depict the tenderness of flower petals, the power of ocean waves, or the tranquility of Zen gardens. In summary, my artistic approach to Nihonga painting focuses on the relationship between humans and nature. I use natural pigments and master traditional techniques to create works that celebrate the beauty and harmony of our natural environment. I also create curiosity cabinets with objects I receive from people, which I then display, shells, or with origami. My sources of inspiration are endless. Love, Daphne
