
Feeling summery? Make these cheerful melon fans!
Summer means sunshine, bright colors, and… getting creative, of course! These adorable melon fans are so much fun to make and instantly bring that happy holiday feeling into your home. Hang them in the garden, take them along for a picnic, or simply use them as cheerful decorations. Keep reading to see what you need and get started right away!

What you’ll need:
- Red, light green, dark green and yellow paper – or go all out and create your own design!

- Craft sticks / popsicle sticks
- Glue
- Scissors
- Marker
- String

2. Cut two red squares and a total of 8 thin green strips (4 light green and 4 dark green).

3. Stick the green strips around the edges of the two red squares.

4. Use a marker to draw a pattern on the red squares.

5. Fold in a zigzag pattern.

6. Sew the two folded papers together using a needle and thread, stitch the two folded papers together in the center to create a bow shape.

7. Glue the top closed.

8. Glue two sticks to the (still) open bottom. You can also glue the sticks to each other for extra support.
