I like to introduce my creative friend: Esther Schoorstra
From a young age, Esther worked with natural materials and honest emotions, expressing them through paint or other mediums. Creating is an essential part of who she is. During her training as an art therapist, she discovered the freedom of working with clay. This study gave her a loving, understanding, and curious perspective on both art and people, always seeking what lies deeper. She feels honored to guide people through the creative process to reach deeper emotional layers, where words often fall short.
Her visual art is sensitive, soft, feminine, organic, and rich in symbolism—often using metaphors from nature or her personal experience with God. She mainly sculpts with clay but also creates three-dimensional objects from natural materials.
Thanks to her background in art therapy, Esther is always aware of the impact her work can have on others—whether through movement, material, color, texture, or story. With her ceramic sculptures, she hopes to offer people hope, comfort, and guidance.
Love,
Daphne
