Fish-shaped lanterns for the garden

Download the pages here, print them out, and then cut the pages into horizontal strips 1.5 cm high. Next, cut them into the following sequence of widths: 9 cm, 11 cm, 13 cm, 15 cm, 13 cm, 11 cm, 9 cm, 7 cm, and 5 cm. So from small to large and then back to small.

 

Glue the ends of each strip together to form closed circles. Cut four pieces of thin string, each 50 cm long. Attach the string, evenly spaced

around the curve, to four sides of the circles. Repeat this for all the strips.

 

Follow the order listed above. Finally, cut out a tail and two fins and attach them to the lantern as well.

If you hang LED lights inside, you’ll have an extra festive effect in the evening!
