Soap hearts made with love
Valentine’s Day, a nice occasion to give your loved one some extra attention and gifts. I let Rob know how fond I still am of him with small attentions. Are you also looking for a way to spoil your Valentine – or yourself, because self-love is just as important – with a little love and care? I personally really like these Valentine soap hearts. A loving gift that is not only perfect for Valentine’s Day, but will still put a smile on someone’s face afterward.
This is what you need:
- Soap base or soap scraps
- Skin care oils
- Possibly: essential oil or perfume oil
- Possibly: dried flowers/herbs
- Possibly: dye
- Heart-shaped mold (for example, silicone cupcake mold)
Here’s how to make it:
Cut or grate the soap base small. Heat in a bain-marie until it melts. Add some oil and warm again. If necessary, enrich with essential oil, spices and/or food coloring. Pour the mixture into the mold and then let it cool for 4-6 hours. When the soap is hard, it is ready!
Pamper your sweet partner or yourself with these heart-shaped soaps in a warm bath full of lather while enjoying a good book. Or add a touch of love to everyday moments, like a hand soap in the kitchen.
